Can the tutor provide lessons at my house?
Tutors can conduct lessons at your home or any other public location such as your local library or school. This may also depend on the different circumstances of each tutor and their ability to travel certain distances. You can check how far a tutor is willing to travel in their profile page.
If you choose to have lessons at your home, please ensure that the study area is free from distractions.
How long and how often should I have lessons?
We recommend a minimum of 1 hour of tutoring per week for each subject. The lesson duration will also depend on your academic requirements and therefore you may require additional tuition hours if you are finding the subject difficult or if you are preparing for end of year exams.
Our tutors are flexible and happy to accommodate extra tutoring if needed.
Give us a call on (03) 9038 8998 or contact your tutor if you wish to have extra lessons.
Do you offer tuition to University students?
We do not offer University level subject tuition due to the diverse and complex nature of University subject offerings.
We do offer general English and Maths tuition for entry into tertiary courses such as the STAT or VETASSESS tests and also for foundation studies.
How long will it take before I can start my first lesson?
Once you have searched and made a booking with a tutor, it will take approximately 2 business days to receive a response. Lessons can then start within 7 days depending on the student’s and tutor’s availability.
What if I want to change tutors?
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your current tutor, we will change the tutor to ensure your learning needs are addressed.
Will I be provided with homework?
The tutor may assign some homework to consolidate the material learnt during the lesson depending on your school workload and your learning needs.
Can a friend or relative attend the lesson with me?
Yes, a friend or relative can attend the group lessons with you as long as you are both at a similar academic level and you are learning the same concepts currently being taught at school.
For group lessons, we charge a reduced tuition fee for each student. Contact us to enquire about this option.
